Packed game stores, incredible deck builds (those Merfolk decks were next-level!), and the sheer joy radiating from your posts made this one of the most memorable Prereleases we've ever seen. You clearly adore Lorwyn Eclipsed, and that makes us incredibly happy. Almost perfect, that is. And this is the part most people miss... amidst the Lorwyn love, a curious phenomenon emerged. A small but noticeable number of players found themselves wielding foil rares and mythic rares from the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set. Was it a secret crossover event? A mischievous faerie prank? Nope, just a surprising twist of fate. While most of you embraced the unexpected turtle power, it wasn't exactly the Lorwyn-centric experience we'd envisioned. Should Lorwyn Eclipsed have had the spotlight all to itself? We hear you. Sharing the stage with an upcoming set, even one as awesome as TMNT, felt a little... well, unexpected.
Here's how we're addressing this: First, we're expanding the Magic: The Gathering® | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Card Image Gallery (https://magic.wizards.com/en/products/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles/card-image-gallery) to include all rares and mythic rares from the main set. Transparency is key, and we want you to have access to everything.
But we're not stopping there. We're brainstorming something special, a Lorwyn Eclipsed-themed solution to ensure this incredible set gets the undivided attention it deserves. We're still ironing out the details, but rest assured, we're committed to making it right.
